Birthday: December 24
I grew up dancing in Butler, PA and my Aunt was one of my dance teachers and is one of my most favorite people in the world. I then went to Point Park University and majored in dance and graduated in 2010. Upon graduating, I began teaching dance and quickly fell in love with teaching the tiniest of dancers and have been teaching ever since!
My teaching philosophy is that every dancer should feel that whether they aspire to be a professional dancer or not, the studio is a safe space for them to be themselves. I believe that using “play” and concepts that our preschool dancers understand is the best way to introduce them to the world of dance technique and ensure they have fun while doing so!
My favorite color is yellow, I love to read Historical Fiction books. My favorite food is pizza and we love making it at home! My favorite animal is our dog, Marley. My favorite flowers are sunflowers.
Dance should be hard work AND fun! Don’t focus so much on the hard work aspect that you forget that it should feel fun, too!
